Ontario propety tax monitor tool
For the 2025 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference, I played a central role in the launch of the Ontario Property Tax Monitor, a data tool built to help municipal leaders better understand and use property tax information. I lead the strategy of the launch and contributed directly to aspects of the tool’s design and user experience, ensuring that complex FIR datasets were transformed into intuitive, visual insights that municipal staff and councillors could apply to planning, housing, and policy decisions.

MUNICIPAL WORLD - MUNICIPAL ENGAGEMENT WITH RESIDENTS IN THE AI ERA
Having worked with municipalities across Ontario, I was invited to write an article in Municipal World exploring how local governments can strengthen resident engagement in the age of artificial intelligence. Drawing on both municipal experience and my background in communications and law, I highlighted the opportunities and challenges AI presents for transparency, accessibility, and trust between municipalities and their communities.

UniverSIty of waterloo news - BUILD NOW
For University of Waterloo News, I authored a feature piece on one of my organization’s innovative housing initiatives, BUILD NOW Waterloo Region, that aims to deliver 10,000 “missing middle” homes across the Waterloo Region by 2030. Anchored in both community insight and research, I highlight how these attainable, mixed-use homes, 70% structured as ownership with protections for long-term affordability, are being built within a 25‑acre “living lab” near RIM Park. The project brings together multidisciplinary academics, municipal partners, and real-time data analysis to shape resilient, inclusive communities while exploring scalable models for the future of housing in Canada

Case STATEMENT for the future - TREE TRUST
As part of my work with TreeTrust, I recently crafted a comprehensive Case Statement aimed at securing organizational funding. This involved both writing and designing the document to effectively communicate TreeTrust's mission and future goals. TreeTrust is a visionary organization committed to preserving and enhancing our Urban Canopies, and it was an honour to contribute to their mission by supporting their strategic initiatives.

Destination Marketing - City of Guelph
In collaboration with the Letter M marketing agency, I played a key role in rebranding the City of Guelph’s tourism identity. I conceptualized and developed the campaign and brand name ‘Gather In Guelph,’ along with much of the supporting communications and messaging materials. This campaign aimed to highlight Guelph as a vibrant, welcoming destination.

Brand naming & Identity - ENSURGE
In collaboration with the C-Suite team at (formerly) Thin Film Electronics, I spearheaded the renaming and rebranding of the company to ENSURGE. This new brand identity and narrative were crafted to align with their strategic shift and technological advancements in the solid-state microbattery market. The rebranding has been instrumental in positioning ENSURGE as a leader in this innovative field. Over the past year, ENSURGE, now a publicly traded company, has leveraged this new identity to achieve significant success.

WEB DESIGN - CANLEAD Solutions
After assisting the (formerly known as) ACC team in renaming themselves to CanLead Solutions, I took charge of developing and writing strategic communications content for their new organizational identity. Additionally, I designed their website, focusing on visual aesthetics, technical functionality, and compelling written content. This holistic approach ensured a cohesive and impactful online presence for CanLead Solutions.

Comms Plan - THE ELLIOT COMMUNITY
I developed a comprehensive Communications Plan for The Elliot Community during their recent renovation and upgrade. Collaborating closely with the leadership team, I gained insights into their needs to create a strategic communications plan. This included crafting internal and external email content, designing visual branding materials for staff, and engaging external stakeholders such as the City of Guelph and residents' families. As part of this effort, we also organized a visit from the provincial Minister for Seniors and Accessibility.

‘AI In the workplace’ workshop - The MEARIE Group
Together with Pearl Street Communications, I developed and led a series of workshops on AI in the Workplace, primarily targeting businesses within the LDC sector in Ontario. These 3-hour, heavily researched sessions provided C-Suite executives across various departments and cities with valuable insights and actionable tips on integrating AI into their operations.

Messaging and Communications Work - RiteRate
During RiteRate's rebranding process, I played a key role in establishing and refining their new focus and story. I assisted in developing their new look, corporate story, and brand messaging. This involved supporting both internal and external communication structures and guides, as well as creating a cohesive visual and written brand identity. Additionally, I provided general communications consulting to ensure a smooth transition.

Teeny Tiny Stories - TVO
My book, ‘The Big Book of Teeny Tiny Stories,’ was adapted into a children's TV series by TVO. As the head writer, I collaborated with Good Game Films, the production company behind the animation, for both seasons. In addition to writing, I contributed to developing the branding, marketing, and communications materials for promoting the show. I also managed a team of 10 creatives responsible for much of the show’s artwork and animation. The series successfully reached over 2 million Canadian viewers online.
